M/V EUPHORIA SERVICE UPDATE 4

 Dear Valued Customer,  

Silmar Shipping FZCO wishes to provide a further update regarding cargo carried on board M/V EUPHORIA. 

Following the incident reported during the vessel’s recent passage after departure from Jebel Ali, the vessel has proceeded to Khor Fakkan Port, where the necessary survey, examination and related assessments are currently being undertaken. 

Further updates regarding the vessel’s condition, cargo status, onward voyage arrangements and any operational implications will be provided in due course once the relevant assessments have been completed and the necessary information has been verified. 

Customers are requested to note that the voyage has been affected by exceptional circumstances beyond the Carrier’s reasonable control. Accordingly, and strictly subject to the applicable contract of carriage, Bill of Lading terms, Tariff and all other governing terms and conditions, the Carrier will apply a Contingency Surcharge in respect of containers carried on board M/V EUPHORIA. This surcharge shall solely apply on top of the originally quoted freight and shall be payable in accordance with the applicable contract of carriage, Bill of Lading terms, Tariff and all other governing terms and conditions. Further invoicing and implementation details will be communicated separately through the Carrier’s usual commercial channels. 

All steps taken or to be taken by the Carrier in connection with the vessel, cargo and voyage, including without limitation delay, route adjustment, inspection, retention on board, discharge, storage, transshipment, onward carriage, security-related measures and any associated costs or expenses, remain subject to the applicable contract of carriage, Bill of Lading terms, Tariff and all other governing terms and conditions, all rights being fully reserved.
