WINTER SURCHARGE IMPLEMENTATION to/from St-Petersburg, Russia

Dear Valued Customer, 

To reflect the additional operating costs associated with winter navigation and port operations at St-Petersburg, SILMAR SHIPPING FZCO will introduce a Winter Surcharge on the following basis: 

Surcharge: Winter Surcharge 

Amount: USD 150 per TEU. 

Effective date: Applicable to all bookings arriving to or departing from St-Petersburg on or after 1st December 2026. 

Duration: Until further notice. 

Scope: All shipments to and from the Port of St Petersburg, including dry and reefer containers, whether Carrier-Owned Containers (COC) or Shipper-Owned Containers (SOC). 

The Winter Surcharge is a fixed seasonal charge reflecting the costs of maintaining services during the winter season. Its application is not conditional upon severe weather, ice conditions or icebreaking assistance affecting any particular shipment. 

The surcharge is payable in addition to ocean freight and other applicable charges, in accordance with the Carrier’s applicable Tariff and terms of carriage. 

For further information, please contact your local sales or customer service representative. 

The Carrier reserves the right, at its sole discretion and with immediate effect, to revise (including increase/decrease), substitute, suspend or withdraw the surcharges and/or their amounts (and the method of application) if the situation or conditions of carriage change or deteriorate. Any revision shall be effective immediately from the time it is announced by the Carrier (including by publication on the Carrier’s website or by written notice).
